Pelvic Floor Muscle and Core Go Hand-in-Hand

When performing the Pelvic Floor Muscle Training (PFMT) ensure you are always engaging your Core. The connection with the deep Core layers such as Transversus Abdominals (TrA) muscle should be taking place simultaneously with your breath. When breathing out engage your TrA muscle by gently engaging your abdominals.

Building awareness of the TrA muscle will improve your overall Core. You will have more power and decreased back pain.

To learn how to properly engage the TrA requires patience and practice.
When you gained control over your TrA muscle connect with your PFM. Think of it as going up the ramp when it comes to the intensity of the recruitment of the TrA and PFMT. Should happen simultaneously while still in control of your breath and progress the intensity of connection.

The rule of All or Nothing does not apply here!
Instead, slow and steady with picks and valleys.

The picks are the many layers of the PFM involved in your recruitment and the valleys are your relaxation phases of the PFMT.
Breathing should always be present.
