About Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a college-regulated medical, science-based profession that is scientifically proven to reduce pain, improve injury and restore function.
At Eglinton Physiotherapy clinic, you will work with our dedicated and highly motivated registered physiotherapy to help you achieve your goals.
Find what matters, improve awareness and restore function
We help you improve the awareness of your body movements by identifying how it performs best and when it is underperforming through an individualized “Targeted Approach”.
By creating a unique plan, Eglinton Physiotherapy helps you return to your desired level of function.
A Targeted Approach
Functional Movement Exploration
We’ll look at your body’s movement patterns, such as the ability to transfer load from one let to another while walking, sitting and reaching, or stepping up and down a staircase. This functional approach will provide valuable information about your preferred functional movement patterns and abilities. It will also identify any issues in/with muscles, ligaments, and peripheral nerves when performing movement or with a load.
2. The Assessment
Based on the reason for your visit, we will perform a detailed assessment that is customized to your needs. It may include any of the following:
Recovering from a sports injury
Suffering from a concussion
Having issues with your balance
Being in pain
Experiencing pelvic related problems
Looking for prenatal and postpartum care
3. The Plan
This includes answering your questions and completing an individualized targeted movement program encompassing specific stretches, exercises, controlled movements, and balance training. Each process builds strength and increases the possibility of returning to the things you like. Whether it’s walking, running or high-performance sports, we can help you achieve your goals.
The modes of treatment will be discussed with our physiotherapist. We find that the best proven treatments are multi-layered.
